Job Overview
Dawson Metal Company is seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG/TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Jamestown, NY. We are looking for a dependable, quality-focused individual with experience welding aluminum components and assemblies in a production environment.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in both MIG and TIG welding processes, able to read blueprints, and committed to producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Pay
$22.00 – $26.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum parts and assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for various aluminum fabrication projects.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.
- Grind, clean, and finish weldments as needed.
- Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure schedules are met.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
Required
- 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
- Experience welding aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred
- Manufacturing or fabrication experience.
- Welding certifications.
- Experience with stainless steel and carbon steel welding.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and material handling.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
