Position Overview:
Dawson ISD is seeking a motivated and dedicated Head Boys Basketball Coach (Asst. Football / Spring Sport) to join our team. This position includes teaching Junior High Math along with coaching responsibilities in boys athletics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success both in the classroom and in athletics.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach Junior High Math in alignment with TEKS and district expectations
-Create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning
-Serve as Head Boys Basketball Coach
-Assist with football and coach a spring sport as assigned
-Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising practices, games, and athletic events
-Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among student-athletes
-Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to support student success
-Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
-Uphold district policies, UIL regulations, and professional standards
