Dawson Counseling & Performance, LLC., is seeking a dedicated mental health professional (masters or doctoral clinician) to join an expanding private practice specializing in the full range of psychological health and wellness needs. The position is aimed at self-motivated individuals with an interest in working in private practice and has specialties within the spectrum of behavioral health and wellness.
About Us
Dawson Counseling & Performance is a private practice that provides clinical, and sport & performance services to a wide variety of clients. Provider specialties involve disordered eating, trauma, chronic health conditions, extensions of medical health impacts, as well as increasing performance in elite athletes. Services include individual mental health therapy, conducting psychological and neurocognitive assessments, and working with athletes and teams.
Position: Pre-licensed Masters level clinician, Licensed Masters level clinician, Postdoctoral Fellow, or Licensed Psychologist
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Duration: Full-time, beginning in Summer 2025, hybrid (in-office & remote)
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy and counseling services to clients presenting with a range of mental health concerns. These may include: depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns, stress management, and interpersonal difficulties.
- Conduct comprehensive neurocognitive assessments.
- Opportunities for performance psychology services, including performance enhancement and mental skills training.
- Maintain confidential and accurate records of all sessions and clinical interactions.
Qualifications:
- Completed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field from an accredited program or doctoral level degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Licensed or licensed eligible in the state of Indiana (if applying for a pre-licensure position the supervision will be provided by a licensed Clinical Psychologist)
- Strong clinical skills and experience providing therapy
- Experience with neurocognitive assessments preferred
