Resident Care Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Aide to join our team, providing essential support to residents in a caring and respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with varying needs, including those with mental health disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation.
• Provide personal care and support to residents in a respectful manner.
• Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• Administer medications according to established protocols and guidelines.
• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Implement behavior management strategies as required for residents with specific needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living areas to ensure a safe environment.
• Utilize systems for documentation and communication regarding resident care. -.
• Collaborate with team and family members to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in long-term care, or home & community care is preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and vital sign monitoring is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate attitude towards residents and their families, demonstrating empathy and respect at all times.
