Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Front Desk Intern to join our team! This paid internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in office management, customer service, administrative support, and how managing a dance studio works. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while developing essential skills in office operations, communication, and organization.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and dancer families warmly and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails,mail distribution, and texts.
- Maintain organized files, data entry records, and filing systems to support office operations
- Support office management tasks such as calendar management, and appointment scheduling.
- Assist with clerical duties including proofreading documents, preparing reports, and updating databases
- Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries professionally and courteously in person or via phone
- Help at shows and recitals
Qualifications
- Is familiar with the dance studio life
- Previous office or clerical experience preferred; strong organizational skills are essential
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications
- Familiarity with phone systems and general computer literacy
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for data entry and proofreading tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
