Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with Manual transmission and various trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload freight using forklift or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Execute route driving efficiently across regional areas while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, load sheets, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and route adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold safety protocols at all times during operations.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Experience in load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods; delivery driver experience preferred.
- Ability to perform route driving efficiently across regional areas while ensuring safety and timeliness.
- Knowledge of freight handling regulations and safety standards related to commercial trucking.
