Role Description This full-time, on-site Registered Dietitian role is based in Phoenix, AZ and focuses on providing specialized nutrition care to individuals with chronic kidney disease and those receiving dialysis. The Registered Dietitian will assess patients’ nutritional status, develop individualized care plans, and educate patients and families on dietary strategies to support kidney health and overall well-being. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring lab values and treatment progress, adjusting nutrition plans, documenting care in the medical record, and collaborating closely with nephrologists, nurses, social workers, and other members of the care team. The role also involves participating in care conferences, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to patient engagement and adherence through culturally sensitive and understandable nutrition education. Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential and active state licensure (or eligibility) in Arizona.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Clinical nutrition experience, preferably in nephrology, dialysis, or other chronic disease management settings.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, individualized care planning, and evidence-based nutrition counseling.
- Ability to interpret and apply laboratory data and clinical indicators to nutrition interventions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage a patient caseload, documentation, and follow-up efficiently.
- Comfort with electronic health records and basic computer applications used in clinical practice.
