Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our fast paced pediatric office. Preferable someone with experience in pediatrics but not required. Needs to be able to give vaccinations, injections and give oral medication. Able to work well with others and multi task. Be familiar with insurances, EHR systems, and MCIR. Someone that is wanting and willing to work as a team and watch these babies grow into amazing adults.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures, including medication administration
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Document patient encounters accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Manage medical supplies inventory and coordinate with pharmacy or laboratory services as needed to ensure timely patient care delivery
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient assessment and documentation
- Proficiency in EHR systems for efficient data entry, scheduling, and record keeping
- Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, medication administration.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and medically complex patients
- Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures and outpatient clinic workflows to ensure seamless patient experiences
- Basic life support (BLS) certification to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Previous pediatric experience demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments is preferred

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
