What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMM Programmer position at Davis Tool, Inc?
Davis Tool, Inc. is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our team to create touch probe & scanning programs and process documentation for bridge-style CMM’s. We manufacture a wide variety of parts for the Aerospace, High Tech, and Medical industries. The successful candidate will create high quality CMM programs that meet or reduce quoted machine setup and run times within a specified time limit.
A typical day’s tasks would include, but are not limited to:
Create efficient and accurate CMM programs. Experience using Siemens NX & LK Camio preferred but not necessary.
Improve efficiency of existing CMM programs.
Provide feedback and suggestions on setups and contribute to the development of inspection plans.
Work with engineers & operators to improve existing processes.
Candidates must have the following skills and experience:
Experienced as a CMM programmer utilizing offline CMM programming software.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to read, understand & edit DMIS programs.
Ability to interpret prints (GD&T) & supplementary materials.
Experience running CMM equipment in a production environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, on both technical and non-technical matters.
