What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveyor Technician/Draftsman position at Davis Surveying, Inc.?
LAND SURVEY DRAFTSMAN / TECHNICIAN
This is a full time, in office job, no remote or virtual environment applicants
will be considered.
Potential Candidates should have all or most of the following:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in CAD and COGO
Land Surveying CAD experience desired
Capable of preparing boundary and topographic surveys
Understanding of construction plans, site plans, plot plans
Understanding of State Plane Coordinate system
SCOPE OF WORK:
Sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer screen
Requires close vision, ability to distinguish and identify colors and ability to use a computer keyboard.
Develop surveys and elevation certificates from notes, sketches, maps, and other material as necessary.
Ability to produce accurate, clear boundary surveys
Review surveys with licensed surveyor for completeness and accuracy
Collect data from field crews
Knowledge of ALTA surveys, As-builts, foundations, flood zones, elevation certificate datum and requirements.
Ability to navigate through FEMA website, understanding of firm panels and NAVD & NGVD.
Follow company standards and policies.
Rare however, an occasional field spot check to verify survey accuracy.
Familiar with Lee County and City of Cape Coral web sites to retrieve documents, plats or deeds preferred.
REQUIRED:
Valid Florida driver’s license with reliable transportation
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background in Land Surveying a MUST
Minimum 2 years of office experience in Land Surveying applications required.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
