Role Description The Tax and Accounting Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Copley, OH. This role is responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Daily activities include maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The accountant will communicate with clients to gather required information, answer tax and accounting questions, and identify opportunities for improved financial practices. The role also involves collaborating with the team to support advisory services, assist with tax planning, and contribute to the firm’s high standard of client service.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Tax Preparation and Tax Compliance, with a solid understanding of Tax regulations.
- Strong Accounting skills, including maintaining general ledgers and handling routine bookkeeping tasks.
- Experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements for closely held businesses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or EA license preferred or in progress.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and maintain confidentiality of client information.
