Our award-winning firm is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our operations team. This individual will have 5 years of recent accounting/ finance/ operations experience with a few of those years in a professional services firm.
JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Leadership Team in the areas of accounting and statistical reporting, payroll processing, and continuous process improvement endeavors. All responsibilities and tasks are to contribute to the growth and development of the Davis & Hodgdon Advisory Group – staff and clients.
AREAS OF FOCUS
- Perform routine bookkeeping and accounting functions for Davis & Hodgdon CPAs.
- Accounts payable tasks include, but are not limited to:
Making timely payments to all vendors
Reconcile accounts.
- Accounts Receivable tasks include, but are not limited to:
Drafting, posting, and transmitting invoices for services and software.
Post payments from Clients and receive online payments.
Perform collection procedures.
Process all agreed upon monthly payment plans
- With the support of the Client Relations team – creating and sending out engagement letters
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial transactions.
- Process month end closing transactions and procedures.
- Input payroll data in a timely manner for payroll processing.
- Provide suggestions regarding improvements in the finance area.
- Serves as an active member of the finance committee.
Responsible for monthly statistical reporting
Preparation of monthly financial reports
MUST HAVE
- This position has a high level of transactional responsibilities – attention to detail is a must.
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Experience organizing several high priority level responsibilities.
- Experience working in a professional services environment such as accounting, legal, marketing firms, etc.
SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually. Official offers depend on factors such as experience, education and skills deemed transferable to this position and Firm.
