What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician position at Davis Health System?
Job Summary
This position is charged with the efficient and effective provision of emergency care in the Emergency Department at Webster Memorial Hospital. The primary job functions are to resuscitate or stabilize patients, refer them to the appropriate medical departments for further evaluation and provide comprehensive clinical care in the inpatient setting. Follows and directs evidenced based practices as established within the Hospital service line. Collaborates and coordinates the individual treatment plan with the clinical team as necessary to assure an appropriate continuum of care.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education:
1. We will consider BE/BC in EM; or BE/BC in Internal or Family Medicine with EM experience (5 years preferred).
2. Licensed as a physician to practice medicine in the State of West Virginia.
3. Member in good standing of the Medical Staff of facility.
4. Credentialed and privileged to work in emergency medicine at facility.
5. Hold valid DEA certificate without restrictions.
6. Current CPR certification.
7. Current ATLS certification, if not American Board of Emergency Medicine Certified.
8. ACLS and PALS required.
9. NRP recommended.
