This position involves forming, placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on commercial and/or residential projects. Job Description
We are seeking skilled Concrete Finishers / Form Setters / Concrete Carpenters to join our construction team. This position involves forming, placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on commercial and/or residential projects. Candidates should have hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and safety. As part of the day-to-day responsibilities, you will be completing the following:
- Build, set, and strip concrete forms (wood, metal, or system forms)
- Place, spread, vibrate, and finish concrete to specified grade and finish
- Perform finishing techniques including screeding, floating, troweling, edging, and broom finishes
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and specifications
- Install embeds, anchor bolts, sleeves, and block-outs
- Repair surface defects, patching, and finishing touch-ups
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site
- Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Work closely with foremen and crew members to meet production schedules
- Minimum 2 years of experience in concrete finishing and/or formwork
- Strong knowledge of concrete tools, materials, and finishing methods
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and elevations
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors
- Class A CDL is preferred but not required to hire (required within 6 months)
- Valid driver’s license
- Own your own hand tools
- Must be able to learn from On-the-Job training and work well with others
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening
