Description:Davis & Floyd is seeking a Surveyor I to join our team in the Charleston, SC office! The Surveyor I is responsible for performing surveying tasks both in the office and in the field as needed to support the Survey Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong organizational and time management skills with growth potential to become a future Survey Manager. This candidate will work closely with the Survey Manager, Engineers and other experienced survey professionals to plan, prepare and review survey projects.Responsibilities:Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys and construction staking plansPrepare digital terrain models and contouringSearch public records for property and right-of-way informationRead and understand surveying and engineering plansOperate field equipment and data collectorRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related fieldLSIT or PLSProficiency in AutoCADExperience in Civil 3D preferredHonest, dependable, thorough, and strong work ethicComputational SkillsSelf-motivated and organized with good decision-making skillsFlexible and adaptable to change
