Description:
Davis & Floyd is seeking a Surveyor I to join our team in the Charleston, SC office! The Surveyor I is responsible for performing surveying tasks both in the office and in the field as needed to support the Survey Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong organizational and time management skills with growth potential to become a future Survey Manager. This candidate will work closely with the Survey Manager, Engineers and other experienced survey professionals to plan, prepare and review survey projects.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys and construction staking plans
- Prepare digital terrain models and contouring
- Search public records for property and right-of-way information
- Read and understand surveying and engineering plans
- Operate field equipment and data collector
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field
- LSIT or PLS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience in Civil 3D preferred
- Honest, dependable, thorough, and strong work ethic
- Computational Skills
- Self-motivated and organized with good decision-making skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change
