Surveyor

Davis & Floyd is seeking a Surveyor I to join our team in the Charleston, SC office! The Surveyor I is responsible for performing surveying tasks both in the office and in the field as needed to support the Survey Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong organizational and time management skills with growth potential to become a future Survey Manager. This candidate will work closely with the Survey Manager, Engineers and other experienced survey professionals to plan, prepare and review survey projects.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys and construction staking plans
• Prepare digital terrain models and contouring
• Search public records for property and right-of-way information
• Read and understand surveying and engineering plans
• Operate field equipment and data collector

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or related field
• LSIT or PLS
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience in Civil 3D preferred
• Honest, dependable, thorough, and strong work ethic
• Computational Skills
• Self-motivated and organized with good decision-making skills
• Flexible and adaptable to change
