What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales and Service Representative – Turfwerks GPS and Automation Division position at Davis Equipment Corporation?
Turfwerks is hiring a Territory Sales and Service Representative to sell and service golf, turf, and grounds maintenance equipment to customers in and around Kansas City. This position will emphasize the promotion and support of Husqvarna autonomous mowers and Above Par Tech GPS sprayers.
Essential Functions
- Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory, focusing on golf courses, sports facilities, and grounds management organizations.
- Work closely with the Turf Division Sales Manager to establish achievable territory sales plan, sales targets for equipment volume and profitability.
- Build strong rapport and long-term relationships with superintendents, general managers and sports turf professionals.
- Demonstrate equipment performance, provide competitive and timely price quotes and close sales.
- Encourage sales of additional parts and accessories.
- Maintain customer records, sales projections and perform all administrative reporting.
- Continually strive to acquire product knowledge, monitor industry and market trends including competitor product offerings and pricing.
- Participate in all company trade shows and sales department meetings.
Qualifications
- 3 years of sales experience preferred.
- Practical working knowledge of the golf industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required, in addition to the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills that translate to managing multiple demands, and timely and consistent follow-up.
- Solid understanding of GPS mapping, RTK solutions, and how to troubleshoot precision technology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, mobile applications, and industry-specific software.
Special Considerations
- Fully-remote role; candidate must reside within a reasonable distance of the Kansas City metro area
- Requires daily travel within the territory; occasional overnight travel.
- In general, work occurs during regular business hours, Monday - Friday; however, work outside normal hours, including occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak seasons to meet deadlines.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company’s driver insurability criteria.
