The Role
We're looking for a Commercial Vehicle Upfit Technician to join our growing upfit team.
This is a hands-on position installing commercial truck and van equipment. You'll work on a wide variety of vehicles and projects — from complete work van builds to service bodies, flatbeds, ladder racks, shelving, lighting, electrical accessories, toolboxes, hitches, and other commercial vehicle equipment.
We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, takes pride in their work, and enjoys building things the right way.
Previous upfitting experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person. Experience in automotive repair, fabrication, welding, electrical, trailer/RV service, construction, or other mechanical trades can translate well into this position.
What You'll Do
- Install commercial truck and van equipment and accessories
- Perform complete commercial van upfits including shelving, partitions, ladder racks, and accessories
- Install service bodies, flatbeds, toolboxes, hitches, and other truck equipment
- Install and troubleshoot 12V electrical equipment, lighting, cameras, and accessories
- Drill, bolt, assemble, wire, and mount equipment safely and correctly
- Follow manufacturer installation instructions and company quality standards
- Inspect completed work to ensure equipment is secure, functional, and professionally finished
- Diagnose and correct installation issues when they arise
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Work with the shop team to complete jobs accurately and on schedule
- Take ownership of assigned jobs from start to finish
What We're Looking For
- Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on skills
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, and other shop equipment
- Automotive, truck, trailer, RV, fabrication, construction, or mechanical experience preferred
- 12V electrical experience is a plus
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to read and follow installation instructions and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail — you care how the finished product looks and functions
- Able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Reliable, accountable, and willing to learn
- Able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Valid driver's license required
What Makes Someone Successful Here
You don't need to know every product we install on day one.
We're looking for someone who likes working with their hands, understands how things go together, can solve problems, and takes pride in seeing a finished vehicle leave the shop looking right.
If you're the type of person who notices a crooked bracket, messy wiring, or something that just doesn't look right — and fixes it without being told — you'll fit in well here.
What We Offer
- Full-time, stable employment with a company that's been in business since 1955
- 4-10's Monday - Thursday
