The Crane Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of various mobile cranes, crawler cranes, heavy equipment and trucks.
Duties/Responsibilities
This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Occasional weekend work and long hours may be required as job duties demand.

*Job Summary*
The Crane Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of various mobile cranes, crawler cranes, heavy equipment and trucks.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure all company values and safety programs are adhered to and promoted.
- Performs service tasks as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Effectively managing time on all projects and repairs.
- Brings to the attention of the Service Manager any additional work required on units or visible signs of damage.
- Receives and inspects incoming shipments for correct quantity and quality of materials.
- Work with and train lower-level mechanics to ensure proper repairs are done.
- Capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of shop, maintenance of shop tools and equipment.
- Tests mechanical, electrical and hydraulic parts and equipment after repairs or modifications to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
- Loading and unloading of equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational problem solving and leadership skills.
- Advanced understanding of equipment in the fleet.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Provide tools up to 2 inches
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs.
- Advanced skill in trouble shooting electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems.
- Properly learn how to rig and flag
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least five years of experience as a Field Service Technician.
- Ability in problem-solving and self-direction
- Knowledge of OSHA laws
- Prolonged periods of working in confined or hazardous areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work at heights
- Local and/or in-state travel is required for this position.
