We’re Hiring: Application Specialist / Product Engineer
We’re looking for an Application Specialist / Product Engineer to join our team in a highly collaborative, customer-facing role. This position blends hands-on engineering with product demonstrations and new product development, working closely with customers, distribution partners, sales, and internal engineering.
This is a hybrid role, combining remote work with periodic on-site collaboration for product demos, prototyping, and production support.
What You’ll Do
• Lead live and virtual product demonstrations for customers, partners, and industry events
• Provide technical application support and consultative fixture design guidance
• Design custom fixtures and contribute to new product development initiatives
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings using Onshape
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation using 3D printing and machining resources
• Manage customer fixture projects end-to-end, from RFQ and quoting through build, testing, and delivery
• Generate accurate engineering quotes and support order entry and execution
• Participate in a structured stage-gate new product development process, from concept through launch
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to identify product improvements and NPI opportunities
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, assembly drawings, and proposal visuals
• Support quality processes including engineering reviews and corrective actions
• Maintain demo kits and contribute to technical content for marketing and trade shows
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 years of experience in applications engineering, product engineering, or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (Onshape or SolidWorks required)
• Strong understanding of inspection, metrology, and fixture design principles
• Hands-on experience with prototyping methods such as 3D printing and machining
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a hybrid work environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
