Receptionist / Cannabis Counselor (Part-Time)
Davis Cannabis Collective is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused team member to join our dispensary team. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in providing exceptional customer service, and has a passion for cannabis and helping others.
As a Receptionist / Cannabis Counselor, you will be one of the first points of contact for our customers. The ideal candidate is professional, patient, knowledgeable, and committed to creating a welcoming environment for every guest who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and check in customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Verify customer identification and maintain compliance with all state and company regulations
- Answer phones and assist customers with questions, orders, and general information
- Provide outstanding customer service and help create a positive customer experience
- Educate customers about cannabis products and assist them in making informed purchasing decisions
- Accurately process transactions and operate the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Work collaboratively with coworkers to support daily store operations
- Continue cannabis product education and training provided by the company
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional phone etiquette and polite, effective verbal communication
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and kind during all customer interactions
- Passion for cannabis and willingness to continually expand product knowledge
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to learn and follow all company policies and California cannabis regulations
- Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or cannabis industry experience is preferred but not required
Schedule Requirements:
- Flexible availability is required
- Must be available to work evenings and closing shifts
- Must be available to close on weekends
- Part-time position with opportunities for additional hours based on business needs
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move products and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to perform routine cleaning and organizational tasks throughout the workday
