Position Summary:
Our Emlenton facility is seeking a skilled Addictions Counselor to support residents in our detox unit. This role works directly with clients in the earliest stages of recovery during medical detoxification, using motivational strategies to guide them toward the 3.5 residential level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client assessment and formulate diagnostic impressions
- Implement and update individualized treatment plans
- Educate and support families as part of the treatment process
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Participate in clinical team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Certification or licensure in Pennsylvania preferred (LPC, LCSW, CAADC, etc.)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health
- Working knowledge of addiction theory, trauma-informed care, and recovery models
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills

Base Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
