- Optometric Technician/Optician

Similar to any type of medical assistant, an optometric assistant works with patients of all ages to perform medical testing, gather important health information, an assist the doctor in caring for the patient. Attention to detail, superior listening skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, efficiency, and compassion are all required.
Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for assisting in scheduling appointments
- Assist physicians to provide ongoing patient care
- Verify insurance eligibility, ie Navinet
- Communicate patient health status to other medical personnel
- Provide preventive health care suggestions to patients
- Participate in standardized health care programs and seminars
- Assist in direct patient care as needed.
- Assist patients with glasses and contacts, as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in patient care or other medical fields
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
