We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and commission electrical and control systems in industrial settings. The role involves hands-on work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, and panel design while ensuring compliance and optimizing performance.
Key Responsibilities- Design/program PLCs (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Siemens, Schneider, etc.) and configure HMIs (FactoryTalk, PanelView, C-More).
- Select, install, and troubleshoot VFDs, motor controls, and drive systems.
- Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P&IDs using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Ensure compliance with UL 508A, NEC, NFPA 70E, and hazardous location standards (Class I Div. 1 & 2).
- Perform system integration, field wiring, commissioning, and startup.
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and automation issues.
- Support process control (SCADA/DCS, load cells, tension/vacuum/pressure systems).
- Collaborate on projects, including client relations and team coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (AAS in Industrial Electrical Technology considered with strong experience).
- 8 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical/controls engineering or maintenance.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (ladder logic, Structured Text) and multiple platforms.
- Experience with VFDs, HMIs, motor controls, and instrumentation (HART, loop testing).
- Strong skills in AutoCAD Electrical; familiarity with Visio or Fusion a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA) and safety practices (NFPA 70E, OSHA).
- Ability to interpret schematics and perform root-cause analysis.
- Hazardous location design and UL-listed panel building experience.
- SCADA/DCS familiarity (e.g., Emerson Delta V) or robotics (Fanuc/ABB).
- Project management, commissioning, and customer-facing skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Rockwell, NFPA 70E) or PE license.
