Duties

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles such as passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and personal delivery cars across local routes.
• Deliver goods or passengers efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and transportation regulations at the state and local levels.
• Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, avoid delays, and ensure punctual arrivals.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety.
• Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or luggage with proper manual handling techniques.
• Communicate effectively with clients or passengers to confirm schedules, address concerns, and provide a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, chauffeur, shuttle driver, or bus driver with a strong understanding of passenger vehicle operations.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver’s license for larger vehicles).
• Experience with GPS navigation tools and familiarity with local driving routes.
• Knowledge of traffic regulations, state transportation laws, and safety standards relevant to commercial driving.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and customer service excellence.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during cargo handling or luggage management.
• Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail in vehicle maintenance checks and adherence to safety protocols.
