- Serves as first contact for patients in the ED.
- Primary function to accurately collect data including demographics and insurance information.
- Obtains and verifies accurate patient identification and demographic data to confirm or update the patient's record while maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Is responsible for completing eligibility of insurances presented and possibly offering some financial counseling as well as conducting point of service collections.
- Is responsible for completing registration for all admission processes while providing customer service in person and via phone.
- Working knowledge of health insurance
- Good customer service skills
- Teamwork, multi-tasking yet able to work independently.
- Attention to detail
- Proficient data entry skills
- Bilingual a plus
