TITLE: In-Town Class A Driver
LOCATION: 13930 Missouri Bottom Rd. Bridgeton, Missouri 63044
Responsibilities
- Load and unload truck either individually or with assistance of dockworkers
- Drive tractor-trailer in all weather conditions
- Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight
- Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods
- Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy
- Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
- Participates in required on-call rotation for after hours and weekend deliveries
- Other duties as assigned daily
- Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement within 60 days of hire
- Successfully pass background check, drug screen, and physical ability test
- Knowledge of local geographical area
- Able to converse with customers and warehouse workers professionally
- Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to use a mobile computer/GPS
- Ability to work an average of 45 hours per week
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Must have at least 3 years of Class A driving experience
- Class A CDL license
- Clean driving record, required
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, grasping, and feeling
- Repetitive sitting
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Occasional
- Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled warehouse
