Qualifications
- Active Wyoming Dental Hygiene License (required)
- CPR Certification (required)
- Local Anesthesia Certification (required)
- Nitrous Oxide Certification (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive on time each day with a positive and professional attitude
- Greet and care for patients with compassion and respect
- Update and review patients' medical histories, noting any significant changes
- Perform routine hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling/root planing (SRP)
- Take digital x-rays and impressions as needed
- Conduct intraoral screenings and educate patients about findings
- Work alongside dental assistants to ensure proper sterilization and room preparation
- Maintain and sharpen hygiene instruments
- Provide personalized oral health education to patients of all ages
- Monitor hygiene supply inventory and maintain fully stocked treatment rooms
- Accurately document patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism
- Understand dental terminology, insurance coding, and billing procedures
