Auto Technician Apprentice Program

Davidson Auto Group is hiring Auto Technician Apprentices for our Watertown, NY dealerships! The Auto Tech Apprentice Program is designed to provide hands-on and Automotive Manufacturer computer training & experience for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

This is an entry level opportunity.

Pay: $17 - $19/ hr. (based on relevant work and / or training experience)

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues
• Perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Attend training sessions and classes as required
• Other duties may be assigned as needed
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Valid, New York State driver's license with clean driving record, required
• Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Previous Auto Technology training is preferred, such as a BOCES or Technical School
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to successfully pass MVR & Background Check
• Successful candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in learning and following Davidson Employee Handbook's policies and procedures in order to graduate from the program
• Must be at least 18 years of age
