Job Summary
As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance within their own homes. What you'll do
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication reminders and help manage health-related tasks as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Offer companionship through conversation, recreational activities, and emotional support.
- Monitor client health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to family members or healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and address any specific needs related to geriatrics or post-acute care.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members regarding client progress.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in providing care for individuals with varying needs, particularly in geriatrics or medical-surgical settings.
- Familiarity with Level II trauma center experience or hospital medicine is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans and protocols.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in emergency medicine or working within a Level I Trauma Center.
- Exposure to pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or operating room (OR) environments is a plus.
- Background in outpatient clinic experience or sub-acute care settings is advantageous.
- Teaching hospital experience that enhances your caregiving skills is highly valued.
