What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher (ESE) for ages 2-3 years old position at David Posnack JCC?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with children aged 2 and 3 years old
• Create a warm, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports the emotional, social, and cognitive development of all students.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular updates to parents and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
• An AA, Bachelors or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Exceptional Education (or related field) is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with both inclusive and self-contained programming for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• 45 hours through DCF
• Demonstrated experience working with young children, including those with special needs.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and educational strategies for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and community resources.
• Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
