Job Summary
David Hardware Inc., a commercial door and hardware supplier, is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor. This is a detail-oriented role where your experience and leadership will be matched by a collaborative and relationship-focused work environment.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience as a Shipping & Receiving Supervisior required.
- Organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Familiarity with logistics and transportation regulation.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Enjoy working with a team in a friendly, family-owned environment.
- Must be able to work onsite at our Stillwater, MN location.
- Current forklift operator
- A valid drivers license
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and train the team of employees responsible for packing, loading, unloading, and shipping goods.
- Ensure that all shipments are accurately labeled, packaged, and traceable, while meeting delivery schedules.
- Confirm and record receipt of deliveries.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs within the shipping and receiving operations.
- Coordinate routes for delivery drivers and ensure all available product is shipped.
- Have a good work schedule prepared each day to keep warehouse team busy and productive.
- Responsible for forklift upkeep.
- Fill in and drive deliveries as needed.
- Work closely with Project Managers to coordinate timely shipments and provide excellent service to our customers.
- Keeping job boards updated and as accurate as possible.
Physical requirements:
- Frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, carry and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Required to: stand, walk, sit, use hands, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Repetitive use of the hands/arms/shoulders required in completing work.
- Bend and rotate at the waist 45 degrees with full arm extension while lifting.
- Ability to climb into dock/shipping trucks over 20 inches from floor level to remove pallets and products.
- Full dexterity of hands, arms and wrists necessary to reach above head.
