David French Music is a family owned and operated company that offers a welcoming, fun, and positive company culture. We provide high quality musical instrument rentals and service to communities and school systems across New England. We support music in these communities by making regular school visits, having an in-house repair department, providing private music lessons, in addition to sales of musical instruments and accessories.
Purpose of this Role:
The Customer Care Specialist provides excellent customer service to parents and families during their child’s school music journey. Your primary focus will be assisting rental customers with a range of inquiries to make interactions easy for our customers. You will also be required to support the office with general administrative duties as required.
Your primary job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to the following):
- Answer company phones and emails responding to customer inquiries regarding account status, billing queries, autopay, orders and deliveries/returns
- Complete office tasks including invoicing, delinquency, A/R, reporting, mail and general administrative tasks
- Assist with contract management processes including data entry, maintenance and review of contracts
- Assist with accuracy of reporting and database information
- Assist other departments as needed (tasks, reporting, inventory issues, etc.)
- Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail required
- Organized multi-tasker with an understanding of the importance of providing high-quality customer service to our customers
- Communicate with all customers in a clear, courteous, respectful and responsive manner
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in a busy office environment while executing solid judgment and decision making skills
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Be a pro-active and precise communicator with our internal departments as you interact with sales reps, the repair shop, fulfillment and warehouse technicians, etc. to fulfill the customers needs
- Able to follow the company’s established processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish / Portuguese) a plus!
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED certificate required
- 2 years experience working in an administrative role
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to carry multiple instruments at once
- Strong proficiency with computers and applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
- Prior musical experience is not required, but must be willing to learn on the job of the basic musical instruments
