The Water/Wastewater Practice is seeking a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer in Bellevue, Olympia, Tacoma, Seattle, Tukwila, Woodinville, or Everett, WA.
The ideal candidate will support the planning and design of municipal (special purpose district and/or city) water and wastewater infrastructure. This role is ideal for a motivated engineer ready to take on increasing responsibility in project delivery, technical problem-solving, and mentorship.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Design
- Perform planning and design for water and wastewater infrastructure systems
- Support development of:
- Conveyance and pumping systems
- Storage and distribution systems
- Collection systems and treatment facilities
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications
- Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination
- Contribute to project delivery including scope, schedule, and budget adherence
- Support task leadership on projects and coordinate with internal teams
- Collaborate with drafters, EITs, and other technical staff
- Participate in mentorship and development of junior staff
- Continue developing technical expertise and professional skills
- Contribute to a collaborative environment
- Participate in professional organizations and industry engagement
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field); EIT required, PE or ability to obtain preferred
- 4–8 years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to water and wastewater system design
- Experience supporting municipal (city and/or special purpose district) water/wastewater projects
- Working knowledge of water/wastewater design principles and engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with public agency standards, permitting, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency with standard engineering tools (e.g., hydraulic modeling, drafting/design software, Bluebeam, spreadsheets)
- Ability to support design tasks and collaborate effectively within project teams
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
