The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking an Intern in Salt Lake City, UT.
The successful candidate will support multidisciplinary projects by performing independent engineering calculations and design tasks, using technical expertise, experience, and sound engineering judgment to advance concepts through final construction documents. Work may include developing plans for freeways, highways, and local roadways, as well as traffic control elements such as signing, pavement markings, traffic signals, and stormwater facilities. Responsibilities also include technical writing, quantity calculations, preparation of construction documents, and development of supporting project documentation.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and project team members
- Support the design and preparation of engineering plans using Bentley OpenRoads software
- Review and analyze maps, reports, drawings, and as-built documents for design projects
- Assist with the preparation of reports, specifications, and project quantity calculations
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of two (2) years of completed coursework
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
