Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of the Data Center construction project from mobilization through closeout. This role ensures the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with DELCO quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the project from contract award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.
- Coordinate with Preconstruction, Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead subcontractor buyout activities and work closely with the Preconstruction team to support contract administration and scope alignment.
- Monitor project costs and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Maintain strong communication with owners, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and company policies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
- Support project mobilization, logistics planning, and project closeout activities including punch list completion, O&M manuals, warranty documentation, asbuilt drawings, and closeout documents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience managing commercial, industrial, or missioncritical construction projects preferred.
- Data center construction experience is strongly preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
- Experience managing subcontractors and client relationships.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, construction management software, and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
