Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) processes including medical collection activities
- Schedule patient appointments accurately using medical scheduling software and coordinate follow-up care plans
- Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
- Maintain organized medical records, ensure documentation review for accuracy, and update patient files in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating health histories
- Support administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies and other office management tools
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office or clinic environment with strong clerical and administrative support skills
- Spanish Speaking
- Insurance verification
- Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance-related documentation review
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Strong computer skills
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance
