Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer and be a vital part of transforming blueprints into reality! In this energetic role, you will support skilled tradespeople by performing essential tasks that keep projects moving forward efficiently and safely. Whether assisting with drywall, painting, carpentry, framing, or demolition, your hands-on contribution will help build structures that stand the test of time. We are a General Contractor working on various projects across Southern California focusing on the South Bay. We also run a full service landscape division. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills across various construction disciplines while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers to ensure a secure work environment
- Support carpenters, plumbers, electricians, masons, and other trades by handling hand tools and power tools for framing, drywall installation, and finishing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, concrete bags, rebar, and equipment to facilitate smooth workflow on-site
- Aid in landscape installations, irrigation and plant installations
- Read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to assist in accurate project execution
- Support renovation, restoration, or new construction projects by performing tasks like caulking, stucco application, tile laying, or flooring installation
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is highly preferred
- Prior experience in landscaping/irrigation/maintenance a plus not required
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and basic machinery safely and effectively
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Basic understanding of drywall, painting, basic carpentry such as case/base/crown or framing is a plus
- Valid driver’s license is desirable for operating certain vehicles or equipment
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with team members
- Reliable transportation to job sites required
- Spanish/English bilingual a plus not required
- Part time with full time opportunity
- Pick up truck/own tool a plus not required
