Job Summary

Schedule
Full Time - 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday, no weekends
4 day shifts
1 evening shift (until approx 8-8:30pm)
Duties
- Assist with rooming patients by obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations
- Perform various clinical tasks such as EKGs, urinalysis, vaccine and medication administration, obtain cultures and other procedures to support patient treatment plans
- Manage electronic health records by documenting medical notes, updating records, and ensuring accuracy of medical documentation
- Support physicians and healthcare providers with procedures
- Facilitate patient flow by scheduling appointments, managing wait times, and providing excellent patient service throughout their visit
- Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize equipment, and uphold infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Greet patients and assist with check in/check out
- Assist with incoming and outgoing phone calls and electronic communications
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
- Assist with completion of forms, prior authorizations and obtaining of reports
Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program is Required
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office setting is Preferred but not Required
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and pharmacology standards
- Hands-on experience with an EMR/EHR system
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics.
- Ability to multitask and flex in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a pleasant and positive approach
- Ability to assist coworkers as needed and to work as part of a team
- Excellent attendance
