Our Welders are responsible for the construction of structural steel frames, enclosures, and other fabricated parts from blueprints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- MIG welding and finish grinding using fabrication techniques.
- Blueprint reading to build parts of various shapes and sizes to customer specifications.
- Weld materials such as mild, galvanneal, and stainless steel with thicknesses ranging from 18 gauge up to ¼".
- TIG welding, saw cutting, dual-action sanding, drilling, tapping,
- Working in other departments, as needed which may include finishing, machine operations, etc.
- Must own welding helmet.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a written and hands-on welding test.
- Math, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
- Ability to function as a team member.
- Occasionally heavy lifting up to 75# may be required.
- Tools needed - 50/50 tool program available.
- Stand for long periods up to 10 hours a day, squat, bend, kneel and work on knees as needed for weld requirements.
