Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Santa Clara, CA, for a Field Service Technician with training provided (low voltage experience preferred). The Field Service Technician will install, maintain, and repair locks, ADA operators, master key systems, panic hardware, and other security hardware. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, performing modifications to doors for hardware installation, and ensuring projects meet all safety and compliance standards. The position requires effective communication with clients to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities, benefits, PTO, and a company vehicle (after probation), phone, uniforms, and tools provided.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain commercial and multi-family door hardware and access systems
- Assist with installation of low voltage systems, including:
- Access control systems
- Card readers and keypads
- Intercom systems
- Electronic locking hardware
- Run and terminate low voltage wiring
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electronic issues
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, plans, and work orders
- Communicate effectively with team members and office staff
- Provide professional service and maintain strong customer relationships
Qualifications
- 1 year of low voltage, electrical, construction, or related field experience preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools (drills, impacts, saws, etc.)
- Basic understanding of wiring, installation, or mechanical systems is a plus
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn a skilled trade
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check
