Job description
As the General Manager, you will coordinate and oversee daily restaurant operations. You are expected to be a hands-on leader, actively involved in all aspects of the business. Your role is to support and guide your team, ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
This is for our upcoming Federal Way location and will initially be based in either our NEW Tacoma location location.
Upon placement as a Salaried General Manager in your own location you will also be eligible for our General Manager Bonus Program.
Location & Training:
This position will be trained at our Tacoma location (opening dates are still in flux).
- Initial training will be in either our Tacoma orRedmond Daves Hot Chicken locations, followed by 10 days of company-paid training in Southern California.
About Dave’s:
- Dave’s Hot Chicken is a loud, busy, high-volume restaurant, open until 2:00 am on weeknights and 4:00 am on weekends.
- We are open 365 days a year, regardless of weather; reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively lead day-to-day restaurant operations
- Build and support your team, providing direction and supervision
- Hire, train, schedule, and oversee daily tasks for team members
- Enforce adherence to all company policies, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness and food safety at all times
- Manage purchasing, inventory, and maintenance
- Oversee shift scheduling, attendance, and performance management
- Conduct daily administrative tasks and complete all required paperwork
- Implement advanced cash handling procedures
- Address guest concerns professionally and resolve issues per company policy
- Drive sales, develop strategies for operational efficiency, and achieve goals
- Foster a positive, performance-driven work culture
- Communicate effectively with your team and leadership
Job Expectations
- Execute and follow up on the restaurant’s business plan and daily routines
- Maintain and model a professional appearance and positive attitude
- Build trust and communicate openly with all team members
- Support the Company's objectives and abide by all directives and goals
- Complete opening and closing activities as required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English
- High school diploma/GED or current student preferred
- Previous assistant manager experience is a plus
- Certified in all restaurant stations (DHC Training Program)
- Current ServSafe Certification
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in a high-paced, hot environment for long periods
- Able to lift 50–75 lbs.
- Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and proof of insurance
- Must have a phone or other reliable means of communication

You must be able and willing to work flexible hours, including opening, closing, weekends, nights, and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Plus Bonus upon Assignment as the General Manager of your own location.
