Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda is actively looking for a Technician to repair pre-owned cars for sale. The Used Car Technician should have general knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair, own your own tools and be responsible for performing diagnoses and repairs in all areas.
Other duties include:
- Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty.
- Examining assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Completing all necessary paperwork and inspection points for the manufactures Pre-Owned Certification standards as in accordance with the manufacturer.
- Road testing vehicles when required.
- Reporting machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Maintenance and accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
- Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Reporting any safety issues immediately to management.
- Maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
- Maintaining a safe work environment.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Pay starts at $28 per hour.

Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- State Inspectors License
- Must have basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
- This position requires pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying of up to 75 lbs., as well as all-day standing and frequent movement (i.e. bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting into and out of vehicles).
- Courteous, effective, and professional communication with customers and staff is required.
