About the Role

Dave Jones LLC is hiring a Fire Protection Designer to join our expanding Fire Protection Design team. This position is open due to company growth and is an addition to an already phenomenal team. You’ll design innovative fire protection systems that safeguard lives and property while collaborating with industry-leading professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design fire protection systems using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, HydraCALC, and HydraLIST.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare detailed job specifications.
• Partner with Project Managers on cost estimation and material planning.
• Conduct onsite surveys and resolve design challenges efficiently.
• Participate in coordination meetings and mentor junior designers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, building and fire codes.
• Proficiency in design software and excellent organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s License; degree in Fire Protection Design or related field preferred.
