Role Description

The New Vehicle Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the dealership in Columbus, OH. This role oversees the new vehicle sales team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing showroom operations, monitoring inventory and pricing, coordinating sales promotions, and ensuring accurate deal structures and documentation. The manager collaborates with finance, service, and marketing teams to drive traffic, convert leads, and maintain strong relationships with customers. This role also involves tracking key performance metrics, training staff on product knowledge and sales procedures, and maintaining compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a sales team in automotive or a similar retail environment, with strong skills in coaching, performance management, and team motivation.
• Proficiency in sales processes, deal structuring, and negotiation, including the ability to manage pricing, incentives, and customer offers effectively.
• Knowledge of new vehicle inventory management, including ordering, merchandising, and maintaining accurate records in dealership management systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to support a positive, inclusive, and respectful dealership culture.
• Comfort with technology and dealership software, as well as basic data analysis skills to track sales metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prior experience in automotive sales management or a related leadership role strongly preferred. Experience within the General Motors family of brands is also highly desirable.
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support showroom operations.
