Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and expertise. You will leverage your mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive service to provide accurate estimates, recommend necessary repairs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of service options and recommendations based on vehicle diagnostics.
- Prepare accurate service estimates and manage the upselling of additional services.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the service process.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Ensure a high level of customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Stay updated on automotive technology trends and dealership practices.
Experience:
- Previous dealership experience is preferred, with a strong background in auto service management.
- Previous General Motors dealership experience is preffered, with a strong background in service management.
- CDK DMS experience preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance is essential.
- Experience in service writing, auto estimating, and sales within the automotive industry is highly valued.
- Knowledge of various automotive repair areas, including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, and air brake systems, is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients.
