Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Line Technician to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanics, with experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and HVAC systems. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using precision measuring instruments.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics to identify problems and implement solutions effectively.
- Operate scissor lifts and other equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct field service visits to address customer needs or equipment failures.
- Assist in welding tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to analyze complex systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and their components is preferred.
- Experience with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems is a plus.
- Ability to use tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Military experience is valued but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and customers.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
