Position Overview
Dave & Adam’s Card World is seeking a motivated, business-minded In-House Counsel to join our team. This role will serve as the company’s primary internal legal advisor, supporting business operations across multiple departments, including Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, and Executive Leadership.
The ideal candidate will provide practical, solution-oriented legal guidance on corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, employment matters, and occasional international matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance to executive leadership and department heads on contracts, employment matters, compliance, and general corporate guidance
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including vendor, customer, employment, non-disclosure, and leases agreements
- Advise leadership on risk management strategies and regulatory compliance requirements
- Provide guidance on employment law matters, including policies, employee relations, internal investigations, and compliance
- Oversee compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies
- Support dispute resolution efforts and manage outside counsel as needed
- Review marketing initiatives, promotions, and intellectual property considerations for legal compliance
- Provide legal insight on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and business expansion efforts
- Monitor and communicate legal and regulatory developments that may impact the company operations
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State bar in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of relevant legal experience, preferable in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, compliance, or employment law
- Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm supporting business clients preferred
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in clear, practical business terms
- Business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and operational objectives

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
