This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.  The position is hybrid, working in the Administrative Offices at the McCormick Riverfront Library and working remotely.

Position Summary

Responsible for the preparation of monthly account analyses, journal entries, and reconciliations.  Responsible for all aspects of the payroll process including preparing biweekly payroll and year-end payroll reports. Responsible for all aspects of the biweekly check run including verifying, coding, entering, and paying invoices.  Maintains confidentiality with respect to administrative matters.

Environmental Conditions

Primarily works indoors, at a desk, using a computer. 

Essential Functions

  1. Responsible for processing biweekly payroll, preparation of year-end payroll reports, payroll tax documentation and the management of payroll withholdings and remittances.
  2. Prepares general ledger account analyses and related journal entries as assigned for monthly financial statements for the Board of Trustees.
  3. Responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, including but not limited to, reviewing/coding invoices, entering invoices into the accounting system, and processing all check, credit card, and ACH payments. 
  4. Prepares monthly bank reconciliations for all DCLS bank accounts. 
  5. Maintains and reconciles monthly DCLS Corporate Credit Card activity.
  6. Assists in the preparation of internal/external financial filings, including but not limited to, Annual Form 990, monthly PA Sales Tax Returns, and Commonwealth of PA reports.
  7. Prepares year-end audit schedules.
  8. Lives by the Core Values.
  9. Performs other related duties.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar business related major.

Experience: Four years general accounting experience.  Two years’ active experience using Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent.  Proficiency with 10-key calculator/adding machine.

Salary : $63,000 - $65,000
