We are currently seeking applicants for our full-time Registered Nurse- Resident Care Director position for The Massry Residence, our assisted living residence at Daughters of Sarah Senior Community. If selected, you will be responsible for implementing the clinical programs and procedures developed by The Massry Residence. You will also manage the delivery of high quality care to the residents by our nursing and resident care team. In this role, you will hire, train, and evaluate, LPNs, Resident Care Associates, and Med Techs ensuring that all staff are aware of and follow policies, procedures, and safety measures.
Your basic responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular staff meetings and training sessions to ensure the staff expands its knowledge and expertise.
- Assisting in the development of the department budget by:
- Developing and/or producing reports on a routine or ad hoc basis.
- Providing staffing in accordance with budget and community needs.
- Preparing payroll.
- Troubleshooting budget issues and presenting anomalies to the Executive Director and collaborates to resolve issues.
- Counseling residents and/or their families in meeting their healthcare and psychological needs.
- Developing and implementing a quality assurance program in conjunction with the Case Manager.
- Developing and implementing a wellness program and health check for the residents.
- Developing and implementing a self-administered medication management program.
- Identifying and regularly monitoring competition and the local marketplace for changing conditions and potential opportunities.
- Collaborating with members of the management team to ensure resident needs are met.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
- A current, valid and unrestricted NYS RN license.
- A minimum of three (3) years of RN progressive supervisory and RN management experience in an environment working with the elderly and/or disabled
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p; on-call every weekend.
